We’re pleased to announce the new apostrophe-selective-permissions module.
This module makes it possible to give out permission to edit only certain fields of certain document types in Apostrophe.
You get to decide whether they can see additional fields, in a read-only way, or only the fields they are permitted to actually edit.
As the documentation suggests, one possible use is to give an SEO consultant direct editing access to certain fields but not others (of course, sometimes it makes sense to give them full access).
Currently this module is only concerned with “update” permissions for modifying existing page settings and piece settings. But, it is designed to accommodate potential growth in this area.
This module was developed with support from our enterprise customers.
