Does WordPress import for the new blog module still work?

Hi,

I saw that the 0.5 blog module had a WordPress import functionality documented but the newer, 2.0 version, did not. Could you clarify whether the WP import feature was removed or not?

Not a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination. Would be good to know, however.

You actually could do this now:

  1. Create a sandbox A2 0.5 site
  2. Import to that
  3. Use the new apostrophe-legacy-import module to pull content from there to your 2.x site.

I’m sure Wordpress import support will wind up in the 2.x blog at some point, it’s obviously a desirable feature. One of our clients may lead us to port it, or perhaps an Apostrophe enterprise support client will, or someone like yourself will seize on the steps I just mentioned and say “hey, it’s not hard to put these pieces together…”

Thanks Tom,

will do the 1,2,3 steps. I am still learning Apostrophe, but I will keep my focus on it long-term. It is the definite answer to long-term problems that arise with other CMS-s.
