Hello, does apostrophe cms support generating static html?
We are currently building a site with apostrophe cms and have been asked to make the whole site static while still enjoying the powerful editing abilities provided by apostrophe cms.
We’ve tried to staticize the site using wget, but it didn’t work very well.
So we want to know, is there any official support for generating static site ?
No, there isn’t support for generating static files. There may be theoretical ways to do that, but it’s not in the plans as far as I’m aware.
As Alex Bea says we don’t currently have a module for this. Apostrophe’s performance is good enough that we have rarely felt the need to avoid generating pages dynamically. However a module for that could potentially be funded by an Apostrophe Enterprise Support customer, or it could be a community project.
